On the way to Daegu from Busan
We flew into Gimhae International Airport in Busan. From there, we took a bus north to Daegu. The bus stops just outside of the airport. It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes and goes to the bus station in Daegu. This bus station is across the road from the Dong Daegu metro station entrance. In the metro, you will buy a token. Touch the token to the reader like you would a keycard to a hotel room at the entrance. When you come out of the subway, insert the token into the reader at the exit.

I also made it to a covered market. Unfortunately, it felt a little like it was catering towards tourists. There were a lot of things that you might find in a shopping center. I did however find a stall selling this deep-fried sweet elephant ear type of food. I also had that when I first went to Korea and wanted to have it again. On the way to the market, we hit a section of road where a lot of the shops were selling towels. One shop had towels rolled or folded into desert shapes, like little cakes. I bought some as gifts.
View from Novotel Ambassador Hotel, Daegu
The Novotel hotel was very nice. They have English speakers on staff. There is a sort of restaurant on the first floor. There is a bar (like a bar in a nice restaurant, just a counter) and a TV. I actually ate at a coffee table which was a little difficult because the love seat was too high, so I sat on the floor. I don't mind sitting on the floor. It's not really a typical restaurant. They also had a cafeteria with a good selection of foods. There is a pool, but not all rooms can use it, as I found out.

Naengmyeon
One of the foods I wanted to eat was Naengmyeon. This is a cold noodle dish. It has meat, vegetables, and hard-boiled egg. I had this for lunch at the airport.
