Footprints Over the World's Edge
Even the ancients guessed that the world was round. Eratosthenes, a Greek who died in Alexandria in the year 194 B.C., predicted the Earth's circumference with amazing accuracy considering the fact that he never actually sailed around the world, a feat which would only be achieved some 1700 years later. Unfortunately the myth that the world was flat, based off of various mythologies and propagated by a lack of widespread education, no doubt, hung on for many years. Although the round earth concept was proven by the 1519-1522 trip Magellan trip, the world is still in so many ways flat. This is my journey over the edge and into the unknowns of life, faith, and the world.
