Bunkasai

Today was Funechu's school cultural festival. During the morning, each class sang in the chorus competition. After lunch, various groups of students danced, played, and sang. Most of the classes also had representatives present on various school activities. The 7th graders talked about their day trip to the Edo Wonderland. The 8th graders talked about their work shadowing experiences, I think, among other things. The 9th graders talked about their school trip to Tokyo. But now, to English. My 7th grade student won first place in recitation at the all-Tamura English speech competition over a month ago. They wanted him to present his piece, so they set up a mock classroom, complete with desks, students, a podium, my 7th grade JTE, and myself with blond hair. Actually, my JTE and I were played by students, though I'm not sure why they chose a blond wig. I knew none of this beforehand. It was pretty funny.
