Well, I think that I have finally officially earned the title 先生 (sensei, teacher). I was able to assist in three first year junior high classes at Funechu today. Last week, I was at school and had the chance to interact with some of the students and the teachers, but, because of orientation and the third year school trip, there were no classes. Last week I also watched one of the junior high evening classes that are held at Wakakusa. These are extra after school classes. Today I taught my first evening class, with the assistance of a veteran teacher. I have been assigned the first year students. These girls are just going into 7th grade.
